Dear Cullen College Community,


University of Houston, UH at Sugar Land, and UH at Katy will remain closed Wednesday, July 10. We understand that Houston and the surrounding area is still recovering from the hurricane, and there are many still without power, water, internet, and cell service.

There are 20 buildings on the UH campus that are powered from the local CenterPoint grid and are currently without power. Additionally, there is heavy debris across campus caused by the storm. Much work needs to continue in order to safely open for our campus community. UH is working diligently with CenterPoint to have power restored at UH by tomorrow evening to enable UH, UH at Sugar Land, and UH at Katy to open on Thursday, July 11.

We know this is a challenging time for everyone and appreciate your patience as we work to restore normal operations.
