Dear Engineering Instructors,



Blackboard is coming to an END on June 1, 2023 for all instructors, other than DMU instructors, after that point you will no longer be able to access Blackboard. So now is the time to either request your summer Canvas course shell or a practice Canvas shell to learn how to use the new LMS.
·        Request your Summer 2023 course shell by going to Access UH<https://accessuh.uh.edu/login.php> and clicking on the Course Request System icon. Use these directions on how to submit the request: How to Request a Canvas/Teams Course – Instruction @ UH<https://www.instruction.uh.edu/knowledgebase/how-to-request-a-course/>

o    If you have more than one section for a course such as face-to-face and synchronous/asynchronous, please have them merged at this time under the Combine section of the process.
o    If you want content to be copied from a previous semester, please request that under the Template section of the process.

One thing to keep in mind, all past Blackboard content will be available to be copied to your new Canvas courses, but you will not have access to student data after June 1st so if you need student data for upcoming accreditations or for any other reason please download it before June 1, 2023.
