For students who are interested in getting more involved with the Grand Challenge Scholar Program, there are two additional opportunities beyond the Summit:
* ✈️ Join the first ever Grand Challenge Scholar Program Learning Abroad Trip to The Netherlands. We are going to explore flood resilience and urban infrastructure with a Faculty-Led Learning Abroad Trip to The Netherlands from May 16-23, 2023. The trip is open to all students in all majors (you do not have to be a Grand Challenge Scholar). * 🎓 Apply to be a Grand Challenge Scholar. The Grand Challenge Scholars Program is for UH engineering students who want to go deeper in applying their engineering education to solving challenges in Heath, Sustainability, Security, and Education. When you join the program, you will be matched with a faculty mentor and a cohort of passionate peers who will support you in developing skills in research, entrepreneurship, multidisciplinary studies, service, and multicultural understanding. You may already be doing work in these areas through your classes and student orgs and this program is a way for you to get recognized for it! If you successfully complete the program, you will be named a NAE Grand Challenge Scholar and receive special recognition at graduation.
