Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that the Organic Battery Days (OBD) 2022 Workshop<https://orgabattdays.ece.uh.edu/> will be held at the University of Houston on October 13–14, 2022, continuing a series of OBD events that started in Uppsala, Sweden, in 2017. This is the first time the OBD Workshop will be held in the United States! Building on the success of previous meetings, this year’s event aims to strengthen communication and cooperation among experts from academic organizations, research institutes, and manufacturing companies, as well as to exchange knowledge and experience on the most recent developments in the field of organic batteries.
We will meet in person, with 80-100 expected participants from all over the world. In addition to academic colleagues, DOE program managers and industry leaders will also speak at the event.
We encourage you, your colleagues, and postdocs and talented graduate students to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations and send in your registration via the workshop website. We plan to kick off the workshop with a Welcome to Houston Barbecue reception on October 12 in the award-winning University Student Center Ballroom.  We will host the Conference Dinner on October 13 at the University of Houston Hilton and the dinner meeting of the board and invited speakers on October 14 at an off-campus location. For those who may be staying over on the night of October 14, we will have optional visits to Houston’s world-renowned museums, NASA/JSC/Space Center Houston, Public Art Walking Tour at UH, and AIA Walking Architectural Tour of Houston.
