Dear NSM Faculty:



An NSM Faculty Development Workshop will be offered on Friday, October 15. There are two sessions. A flyer is attached.



Topic: LabArchives – Research & Education



LabArchives will present two sessions on the use of Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) in the following settings:

·         Research Laboratories

·         Teaching Labs and Design Courses

Each session will provide an overview of the platform and an opportunity for hands-on use of the ELN system.

Session 1: How Can Moving to a Digital Lab Notebook Support My Research?

Date: Friday, October 15

Time: 12 pm - 1:15 pm

This session is designed for PIs, postdocs, lab managers and graduate students in any discipline looking for a better way to document their research. This tool is especially useful for PIs and lab managers needing to oversee multiple lab members and provide a secure, central location for storing and sharing research data/notebooks.



Session 2: Are eLab Notebooks Right for My Teaching Lab or Design Course?

Date: Friday, October 15

Time: 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Directed at lab course instructors, lab coordinators and teaching assistants, this session will cover lab manual integration, collaboration between group members, grading and feedback.
