Virtual On-Campus Recruiting (VCR)
September 10th – November 19th
Fall recruiting will officially open on September 10th to assist recruiters with virtual “on-campus” interviews. We encourage employers to use their preferred virtual meeting platform to identify and select the next member of their team.

Virtual Info Sessions
Employers have an opportunity to engage with students virtually as they brand their company, increase visibility, and create organizational awareness. Our team partners with the UH student chapters of NSBE, SHPE and SWE to create the event and promote it to Engineering Coogs!



Events are advertised on social media, targeted email blasts are sent to all students and academic departments are made aware and encouraged to market within their courses to increase student participation. There is no pre-determined fee for hosting an info session; however, we do ask each company to make a gift<https://giving.uh.edu/eng/> to the Engineering Career Center Fund to help our team serve our growing student population.

Industry representatives can have a virtual office via Microsoft TEAMS to meet 1:1 with engineering students seeking career advice. Our team partners with employers in hosting virtual career-focused workshops and panels for students each semester. Our workshop series this Fall will continue to be completely virtual via Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

MEET THE CAREER FAIR COMMITTEE (CFC)

The Career Fair Committee is a prestigious group whose members are leaders from our nationally recognized affinity engineering organizations NSBE, SHPE and SWE. They serve as ambassadors for the Engineering Career Center and provide logistical and technical support for all career related activities.



The CFC works with the career center to manage Resume Café week, oversee the Networking Socials, collaborate with employers to facilitate info sessions, create professional development workshops for engineering students and so much more. FIRSTGEN CAREER AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The Engineering FirstGen Career Ambassadors are first-generation engineering college students committed to promoting engineering career services and programs to all engineering students, with a strong focus on first-generation college students.

The ambassadors serve as an extension of our career team, expanding our reach by assisting students during virtual walk-in hours, partnering with FYE faculty to promote career services, collaborating with student organizations on professional development and so much more! This 2021-2022 academic year, we will have three amazing ambassadors serving our college!
