[CCoE Notice] UH Law Center forum on Presidential Transfer of Power

Dear Engineering Faculty, Staff and Students,

On Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 5-7PM CST, the Law Center will host a forum entitled “Presidential Transfer of Power.”  The panelists will cover the following issues:

  1.  Electoral college process, alleged voter fraud, related litigation and jawboning of state officials
  2.  Implications of the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6
  3.  Impeachment and Senate trial of a former president
  4.  Pardons including possible secret ones
  5.  Possible  post presidency criminal prosecution for matters arising during the term of office
  6.  Efforts taken designed to stymie the change of policies of the incoming administration
  7.  Race relations and the impact from having the least diverse cabinets in modern times to the most diverse.
