Dear Cullen College Faculty and Staff,


It is with great sadness that I announce the departure of Dr. Yolanda Norman, our college's Assistant Director of the Engineering Career Service Center. She has accepted a new position at Concordia University in Austin, TX, as their Associate Vice President of Student Development. Her last day with us will be Monday, May 3.

Yolanda joined UH in January of 2017 to oversee the UH Cooperative Education Program and has served as Assistant Director since 2019 where she has led student engagement for engineering Coogs. During her tenure, Norman created and led the FirstGen Career Ambassador Program, expanding the reach of the Engineering Career Center team.

Although it is difficult to say goodbye to a member of our community, the excellent work she leaves behind here will ensure she will always be remembered.
