Dear Engineering Faculty and Staff,


I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you who helped to make yesterday's virtual graduation celebration a success. As you all know, we are unable to hold an official ceremony at this time due to the ongoing pandemic. Although there are still plans to have Commencement sometime later this year, our graduates deserved a chance to celebrate their achievements now.


This virtual celebration was a first for us, and I am so proud of our college's efforts to ensure its success. This would not have been possible without your thoughtful words of wisdom, messages of hope and in some cases, humor. Yesterday was just another example of what the UH Engineering family represents - strength, resilience and compassion. You are the reason why our college is the best academic unit on campus.
