[CCoE Notice] UPDATE - Deadline Extended for 2019-2020 Faculty Excellence Awards

Dear Cullen College Faculty and Staff:

In light of current circumstances, and to allow everyone more time to prepare their submissions,we have decided to extend the 2019-2020 Faculty Excellence Awards nominations deadline to April 10th.

Please see below for categories and descriptions. Nominations will only be accepted via our new online form system on the college's intranet.

Please note, for off-campus access, UHVPN must be used to access the intranet websites.

Research Awards

The Cullen College of Engineering Research Awards recognize excellence in research by tenured and tenure-track faculty in the Cullen College of Engineering. Each year the Cullen College of Engineering accepts one nomination from the department chair (only) for each of the five research awards listed below. All nominations must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020.

  *   Fluor-Daniel Faculty Excellence Award
  *   Senior Faculty Research Excellence Award
  *   Junior Faculty Research Excellence Award
  *   Andrea Prosperetti Research Computing Faculty Award
  *   Andrea Prosperetti Research Computing Student Award

Innovator Awards
The Cullen College of Engineering Innovator Awards recognize innovative tenured and tenure-track faculty in the Cullen College of Engineering. In addition, the Cullen College also recognizes graduate students and postdocs who participate in innovation and entrepreneurship activities that led to patents, licensing or start-up. Each year the Cullen College of Engineering accepts nominations for the following four innovator awards below. All nominations must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020.

  *   Career Innovator Award
  *   Rising Innovator Award
  *   Early Inventor Award
  *   Young Innovator Award

Teaching Awards
The Cullen College of Engineering Teaching Awards are intended to recognize and honor Cullen College of Engineering tenured, tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty who have demonstrated excellence in teaching. In addition, the Cullen College also recognizes graduate students who have provided stellar teaching assistance to faculty and students in their respective departments. Each year the Cullen College of Engineering accepts nominations for the following seven teaching awards below. All nominations must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020.

  *   William A. Brookshire Teaching Excellence Award
  *   W.T. Kittinger Teaching Excellence Award
  *   Career Teaching Award
  *   Teaching Excellence Award
  *   Instructional Faculty Award
  *   Outstanding Adjunct Faculty/Lecturer Award
  *   Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award
