[CCoE Notice] teachHOUSTON video showcase

Dear NSM and Engineering Faculty:

The NSM teachHOUSTON program is launching a virtual Summer Experience to inspire 6th-9th grade students’ interest in  STEM.  The teachHOUSTON STEM Interactive<https://www.uh.edu/nsm/teachhouston/summer-camps/stem-interactive/> program will kick off on June 22.

As part of this experience, they would like to showcase the outstanding research of the NSM and Engineering faculty through a video showcase. All NSM and Engineering faculty or their graduate students are invited to participate in this virtual outreach event by creating a short (no more than 3-5 minutes) video showcasing your lab’s research.  One or more videos will be highlighted per day for a total of 15 days from June 22-July 10 for viewing by the program participants and their families.  The videos will continue to be available on the program website for later viewing throughout the year.

This event is expected to reach thousands of students in the Houston area so this will be a great opportunity to engage in an outreach event for the community during this unprecedented time when in-person activities are not possible.
