[CCoE Notice] Participate in the PROMES Engineering Summer Camp

Dear Cullen College of Engineering Faculty:

You are invited to participate in the Program for Mastery in Engineering Studies (PROMES) Engineering Summer Camp (ESC) http://promes.egr.uh.edu/outreach/about which will be held July 12-17, 2020.

PROMES Engineering Summer Camp is a weeklong residential camp used to expose rising 10th- 12th grade students to hands-on engineering experiments, lab tours, and interactive faculty talks. This a great recruiting tool for our college.

Here a few ways you can participate.
1.     Offer a short talk (15-20 minutes) about your research. Talks should also be accompanied by a 60-90 minute hands-on activity or experiment related to your work that either you or a few of your graduate students can lead. Note: If you are concerned about content, we have individuals on the PROMES team that can help you a) come up with activities b) make sure your activities are age appropriate.
2.     Offer a 30-45 minute lab tour.
