Dear College of Engineering Faculty and Staff:
Recently you must be receiving (like I do) from Proof Point Admin with a Subject Title “End User Digest.” Here is an explanation of what it is and how to resolve the emails listed.

The University of Houston has adopted and implemented a new SPAM quarantine system named Proof Point. Each day users will receive a daily digest if any mail has been flagged by the University Exchange mail service. Below is what the digest will look like as well as how to release, allow the sender, or block the sender.
Basic Operations.
Daily you will be sent a "Digest" of emails that have been caught by the filter. The options you should focus on are "Release" "Allow Sender" and "Block Sender".
Release:
Clicking this option will release the email from the filter and it will be sent to your mailbox.
Allow Sender
This will release the email and allow future emails into your mailbox.
Block Sender
This will block this sender from now on.

Managing the filter
To manage the filter you will need to visit the link from a digest email. Click “Manage My Account” to open the page. You do not have to be logged into the VPN to get here.
Viewing a Blocked message
>From an email you can click "Manage My Account”.
You can see the content clicking the subject line of the message. This will open a plain-text version of this email. You can also do this from the website, it’s under "Quarantine". You also have the same options you had from the digest, so you can Release, Allow Sender, or Block Sender from this screen.

Change who is and is not blocked
>From an email you can click "Manage My Account”.
>From here on the left click "Lists" here you can see your "Save Senders List" and the "Blocked Sender's List. Here you can see a list of safe and blocked senders. Click the checkbox next to a sender to use the options at the top. You can delete a sender from this list by selecting "Delete"
