[CCoE Notice] The 3rd UH-MRS Chapter Symposium

Hi All,


               The University of Houston Materials Research Society Chapter (UH-MRS) chapter is proud to organize their 3rdannual UH-MRS Houston Chapter Poster Symposium on October 14, 2019. We plan on hosting 35 posters from graduate students and the top three posters, selected by different judges, will be awarded with cash prizes. We would also strongly encourage undergraduates to participate with their own posters. We plan on hosting 5 posters from undergraduate students, one of them will be awarded with a cash prize as well.

                 Since we have limited number of posters, priority is given on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested, please submit one page abstract with an email subject line of ''3rd UH-MRS Student Symposium'' in .doc or .pdf file (less than 150 words) to the email address uhmrs1927 at gmail.com<mailto:uhmrs1927 at gmail.com>. The deadline for submit your abstract is 30th September. We will stop taking more abstracts after 40 participants (35 graduate; 5 undergraduate) are reached. There will be notification for posters after we receive all abstracts.

               UH-MRS has successfully hosted two student symposiums-poster sessions in the engineering building commons for the last two years. We strongly encourage presenters from different departments such as Mechanical Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Physics.



Posters will be printed by UH-MRS chapter and refreshment will be served during presentation. Please let me know if you have any questions.
