Dear Cullen College Faculty and Staff:
The results of this year's State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) are officially in, and I am thrilled to announce that for the 9th year in a row, the Cullen College of Engineering raised more money than any other college on the University of Houston campus. Additionally, we exceeded our campaign goal of $30,000, raising a total of $33,829.97. Your passion and dedication are truly inspiring. I firmly believe that the faculty and staff at the Cullen College are the most compassionate and hardest working individuals on campus, and I am honored to call myself a member of the UH Engineering family.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the SECC campaign, and a very special thank you to all of the staff members who graciously served as coordinators for this campaign. Roshawnda Anderson (Cullen College of Engineering coordinator), Ting Chen (biomedical engineering department coordinator), Tiffany McBride (chemical and biomolecular engineering department coordinator), Cherish Wallace (civil and environmental engineering department coordinator), Sandra Sierra (Dean’s office coordinator), Elizabeth Giron (electrical and computer engineering department coordinator), Philip Abraham (industrial engineering department coordinator), Catherine Ingco (mechanical engineering department coordinator) and Rosemary Smith (petroleum engineering department coordinator) were all instrumental in ensuring we exceeded our fundraising goal!
I would also like to commend the faculty and staff members of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, who raised more than any other unit in the college with a total of $11,536.97 in donations.
Thank you all so much for your incredible generosity. It is because of you that we are the leading academic institution on campus, and I am proud to work with each and every one of you.
Sincerely,
Joseph W. Tedesco, Ph.D., P.E., F. ASCE
