Dear Cullen College Faculty and Staff:

It is my great pleasure to announce that Roshawnda Anderson will assume the position of Associate Dean of Administration effective April 1st.

In her new role, Roshawnda will oversee the college’s communications department and will play a key role in guiding the college’s internal and external publications and communications efforts. Roshawnda will also
continue to work closely with college administrators to create, update and administer academic policy; plan, organize and help to facilitate the tenure and promotion process; provide feedback and guidance to department chairs in hiring new faculty; play a pivotal role in the strategic planning process for the Cullen College; assess and provide guidance on faculty equity and diversity issues; offer solutions for faculty retention issues; and ensure compliance with university and college policies across all departments and programs.

Prior to her promotion, Roshawnda served as Assistant Dean of Administration for three years (2016 – present) and as Assistant to the Dean of Engineering for two years (2014 – 2016). She joined the Cullen College in December of 2014 after serving as assistant to the vice president of Tallahassee Community College for seven years. Roshawnda has extensive experience as both a communications professional and as a human resources specialist – positions she held at both Tallahassee Community College and the Florida Department of Lottery.

During her nearly 10-year career at Tallahassee Community College, Roshawnda also served as an adjunct professor. She taught courses on the foundations of student development, college success, and social studies and language arts. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Counseling from Florida A&M University.

With the years of experience in higher education and leadership that Roshawnda brings to her new role, I look forward to her continued success at the Cullen College and countless contributions to our faculty, staff and students. Please join me in congratulating Roshawnda on her much-deserved promotion!
