[CCoE Notice] ANNOUNCEMENT - Appointment of Dr. Shilpa Ghurye effective July 8, 2019

Dear Cullen College Faculty and Staff:

It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Dr. Shilpa Ghurye as the Cullen College of Engineering's 1st Industrial Relations and Intellectual Property Manager effective July 8, 2019.

Dr. Ghurye brings with her more than 8 years of experience in Intellectual Property management. She joins us from Rice University where she served as Patent Portfolio Manager for the past 2 years. Dr. Ghurye holds a PhD in Immunology from UT-Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and UT-MD Anderson Cancer Center with a Masters in Biochemistry and a Bachelor in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Bombay in India. She received her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in December 2011.

I look forward to Dr. Ghurye’s contributions in her new role towards enhancing innovation activities among our faculty and students, and advancing our College in achieving the CCE Vision 2020 strategic plan and 50-in-5 goals. Please join me in welcoming and congratulating her on this exciting opportunity.
