[CCoE Notice] Sent on behalf of Roshawnda Anderson: Executive Director of Communications Announcement

Dear Cullen College Faculty and Staff:


It is my pleasure to announce the promotion of one of our own, Rachel Knudsen, to the staff position of Executive Director of Communications effective April 1st.


Rachel brings with her nearly 10 years of experience as a creative and communications professional. Prior to her promotion, Rachel served as the Communications Manager for the Cullen College’s communications department. She joined the Cullen College in October of 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California.


During her time with the Cullen College of Engineering, Rachel has had the opportunity to play many different roles, including print and electronic publications production management. Her leadership of publications such as the college’s magazine, Parameters, has seen great success, including accolades from the American Marketing Association and the Public Relations Society of America. In her new role, Rachel will guide the communications team in raising national awareness and perception of the Cullen College and its departments.


I look forward to Rachel’s continued success as the Executive Director of Communications at the Cullen College. Please join me in welcoming and congratulating her in her new role.
