Hello,

As the semester reaches its final weeks, stress can start to build for students, faculty, and staff alike. With that in mind, we want to kindly remind  you of the services that we offer in support of your department. These include:


·         Consultations with a CAPS counselor about students of concern

·         Training on recognizing, responding, and referring a mental health concern

·         CAPS attendance at departmental meetings to share information on services

Your CAPS liaison, Dr. Marianela Dornhecker<mailto:mdornhec at central.uh.edu>, is copied on this email and is your CAPS contact. We are open to hearing from you if any of the above would be helpful. You may reach your liaison by email or by phone at (713) 743 – 5454. And please keep in mind that if your liaison is unavailable, you may ask to speak with the clinician on duty during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm) or after hours please call (713) 743 – 5454 and follow the prompts to be connected to the after-hours clinician. Additionally, if you have thoughts or ideas on other departmental needs where we may potentially assist, please feel free to reach out. Lastly, as the identified contact person for your department, if you could please disseminate this information, we would be appreciative. If we might have overlooked a change in contact information, please let us know so that we may update our records.
