[CCoE Notice] The UH Community Innovation Challenge -- Apply Now!

Join us for the first Community Innovation Challenge hosted by HIVE student organization in collaboration with RED Labs and the City of Houston Mayor’s Office of Innovation on Friday, October 19 - Sunday, October 21, 2018.

More information about the weekend is included below.

  *   Students will learn more about challenges facing the local community from subject matter experts and community members.
  *   They will take part in innovation workshops to ideate and creatively brainstorm solutions to some of the most significant problems faced by the community.
  *   Teams will then pitch ideas to a panel of judges from local government and businesses and have the chance to earn prizes. The panel of judges will include individuals from NASA, Wood, the City of Houston, and MD Anderson.
  *   Food will be provided throughout the weekend.

Teams of 3-5 students are encouraged to apply, and especially teams representing a group of students from a student organization. If you're interested in applying without a team, please note that on the application and we will add you to a team, if selected for the weekend.

There is an info session on Friday, September 28 at 11am in the Student Center North Impact Room. Applications are due Saturday, October 6 by midnight.
