[CCoE Notice] Best Dissertation Award Winners

Dear Colleagues:



We had five outstanding dissertations submitted for competition for Best Dissertation Award.  Two of the first prize winners both had 35+ refereed publications with about a dozen as first authors.  Here is the decision made by the Awards Committee:



First Prize: $1,000 and plaque to each of the two awardees:

1. Manmohan Singh, Biomedical Engineering, Major Professor: Dr. Kirill Larin.

           2. Jun Mao, Mechanical Engineering, Co-Major Professors: Drs. Ken White and Zhifeng Ren



Second Prize: $500 and plaque to Chong Dai, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Major Professor: Dr. Yandi Hu.



Congratulations to all the awardees and their major professors.  These individuals will be recognized at the Engineering Convocation on May 11, 2018.
