Subject: Chill water outage in Engineering buildings on Friday, 11/24/17

Good morning,

As we prepare to leave work for the Thanksgiving break, please turn off computer equipment before leaving for the break (if possible) as a preventative measure. There are no scheduled power outages that we are aware of, but a chill water outage has been confirmed for Friday, 11/24/17 from 7:30AM – 11:30AM. This will affect the temperature of the building, and especially the server room in Engineering 2. Consequently, we will be shutting down all servers Thursday, 11/23/17 at 10PM, except the core servers that facilitates remote management access. We will promptly turn all servers back on as soon as chill water is available again to cool the server room. An email notification will go out when servers are turned back on for those who work remotely over the break.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, and have a great Thanksgiving!
