[CCoE Notice] UH WOW 2017 Event Volunteers Needed

Friends and Colleagues,

The start of the new school year and the 2017 UH Weeks of Welcome (UHWOW17), which represents the first two weeks of the fall semester (Thursday, August 17 – Sunday, September 3), is kicking into high gear. As part of the many UHWOW events and programs, numerous departments and staff will be working to connect students with university resources, student organizations and the surrounding community.  The success of many of these events rely on the efforts of UH student leaders, faculty, and staff volunteers. Below are some great opportunities to connect with new and returning students.  I hope that you will consider volunteering to make UHWOW17 the best yet:

o   The Cat’s Back event: Thursday, August 24, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center (CRWC) -  is the official UH welcome event for all students. This event includes a Student Organizations Fair, Free Food, games, give-ways, and much more. There are several ways to get involved with this event. o   Campus Prowl: Tuesday, August 29, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM -this one-day, campus-wide open house event needs volunteers to assist with instructions and directions for student participants who are looking to visit the different Campus Prowl areas.
