Dear Engineering Faculty and Staff Members:

The University of Houston is experiencing and celebrating the most significant transformation in its history, and you are a big part of it.

On January 18, 2017, UH launched the public phase of its $1 billion capital campaign, Here, We Go: The Campaign for the University of Houston. This is the most ambitious campaign the University has ever undertaken in its 90-year history. How can you get involved? You can get involved with the UH, Here We Go campaign by supporting the Cullen College of Engineering.

Your role as UH faculty and staff members in shaping the University’s future and encouraging philanthropic support among those outside of our campus cannot be understated. Your involvement in this campaign will send a powerful message. It will show that we, as members of the Cullen College of Engineering, invest in our college because we believe in what we are accomplishing here.

Our goal as a college is to obtain 100% participation from all faculty and staff in giving back – no matter how much or how little – to the University of Houston. Ideally, we would like to raise at least $50,000 as a college, but more important than the dollar amount is establishing a consolidated spirit of giving back among our community members.

The faculty and staff campaign will run from April 3 to May 3, during which time all gifts made to the University will be met with a 1:1 match, capped at $1,000 per donor.

Please join me in supporting the Cullen College of Engineering with a donation that will show our community how committed we are to engineering the future. Here, We Go! Please visit https://giving.uh.edu/gift/ to make a gift to the Cullen College.

With great thanks,

Joseph W. Tedesco Ph.D., P.E., F. ASCE
Elizabeth D. Rockwell Dean
