ALERT for Instructors Using the Letter Grade Schema Function in Blackboard

Possible Rounding Error when Downloading Blackboard Gradebook

Important to compare letter grades in downloaded Excel spreadsheet to letter grades in Blackboard Grade Center. Rounding error in download may adversely affect students, especially those with grades on the edge of a range. For example, A- in Blackboard may become B+ in Excel. Blackboard displays correct letter grades. Recommended to review and adjust grades in Excel before uploading to PeopleSoft. For more information, email fdis at uh.edu<mailto:fdis at uh.edu>.
