Abstract
The challenge of finding new energy sources or improving efficiency of machines has become an important priority to scientists. A huge portion of provided energy becomes waste in the form of thermal energy. This fact sets the stage to look at recovering this wasted heat by Direct Heat-to-Electricity Conversion. Thermoelectric materials provide the opportunity to convert heat to electricity by thermoelectric generators (TEG) which work under the Seebeck Effect. In addition to improvement in thermoelectric properties by synthesis of new materials, optimization in design and fabrication of thermoelectric modules should also be closely investigated. Moreover, the proper condition and place to utilize TEG is critical. In this work, evaluation of utilizing TEG in a cryogenic temperature is investigated. Furthermore, we analytically studied the Tubular Thermoelectric Generator (TTEG) and showed its advantage on flat TEG in special places.
