[CCoE Notice] FW: Please Add an Alternate Email Address in PASS

Good morning,

Some of us may have received this email below, suggesting that we log onto P.A.S.S and provide an alternative email address (non-UH) for password reset purposes.  This is a legitimate email message since it doesn't ask you to log onto a system or website outside of UH.  Those of us who already have an alternative email address in P.A.S.S would not have received this email, but please log onto P.A.S.S anyways to confirm the correct email address on file.  This will help tremendously when it comes time to reset our forgotten passwords through the UIT password reset website.

Good afternoon. UIT recently enhanced the Password Reset Wizard to send your password to an alternate email address. You are receiving this message because you currently do not have an alternate email in PASS. It is important that all users have a non-UH email address listed in PASS in case they forget their password or have an expired CougarNet password.

It is important to note that if your password is expired and you DO NOT have an alternate, non-UH email address in PASS, you will have to contact the UIT Support Center for assistance at 713 743-1411.

UIT will ONLY use your alternate email address when you reset your password.

To add an alternate email address, login to AccessUH:

 1.  Select PASS,
 2.  Select "Personal Information",
 3.  Select "Email Addresses",
 4.  Select "Add an Email Address"
 5.  Select from drop down menu "home" or "other"
 6.  Enter your alternate email address and save
