Event Guidelines – Student Organizations
IEEE-UH 36th Annual Chili Cook Off
March 12th, 2015 | 4 – 10 pm

General Information

•  Power outlets will be provided for organizations that expressed that they were needed on the sign up form

•  No outside alcoholic beverages will be allowed into the event

•  Student organizations must bring non-alcoholic beverages

Event Setup

•  Each organization has a specific spot that is detailed on the Event Layout Map

•  Organizations can begin to setup starting at 3 pm

•  Organizations that have volunteers who are helping setup booths and/or occupied during the t-shirt distribution time can have up to four chili cook off shirts.

•  The reserved t-shirts must be picked up prior to 3:45 pm in the IEEE Lounge N367, after 3:45 pm.

Chili Competition

•  Competition chili needs to be prepared by 6 pm

•  Only one competition entry is allowed per organization

•  Cooking supplies and serving utensils will not be provided and need to be brought to the event

•  Ideally chili should be served from every booth and should feed about 50-100 people

•  Ensure that at least 10 Dixie cups work should be saved for the competition

•  No open flame allowed under tents


Alcoholic Beverages

•  Free beer will be provided throughout the event.

•  Every individual drinking must obtain a wrist band from the Tau Beta Pi booth located in the center of the event (Letter ‘W’ on the layout map). Must show valid driver’s license.
