[CCoE Notice] Planned Electrical Outage: Engineering Buildings 1, 2 and Engineering Lecture Hall

Dear Engineering Faculty, Staff and Students:

There is a planned electrical outage scheduled for Engineering Building 1, Engineering Building 2 and the Engineering Lecture Hall from Tuesday, December 29th at 6am until Thursday, December 31 at 7am.

During this time period, there will be absolutely no power in any of the engineering buildings. All equipment and machines will have to be turned off unless on a UPS that can last at least 2.5 days. There will also be a blip in the mid-afternoon on the 31st while the power feeds are being realigned. The buildings will be generally locked with no admittance during the entirety of the outage.

No research, fume hoods or other work can be done. All chemical fume hoods will not be working. Please clean out all chemicals from the interior of the hoods prior to the 29th.

An official notice of this outage will be sent along to all faculty, staff and students as soon as possible.
