[CCoE Notice] Invitation to the Annual McGovern Lecture, October 30

All Engineering faculty, staff, and students are invited to the 2014 McGovern Lecture, which is an annual endowed lecture on Family, Health, and Human Values in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. This year’s speaker is sociologist Dr. Jennifer Glass, who will be speaking about women in STEM fields from a societal perspective.  The attached flyer provides the full details.

The lecture, which is open to the public, is on Thursday, October 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the University Center Theater.  A reception precedes the talk from 5:30-6:30. You may RSVP for the reception by contacting the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program (the host program for this year’s speaker) at wgss at uh.edu or 713-743-3214.
