STEM in the Americas Speaker Series

Dr. Cristina Villalobos, professor, Mathematics, director, The Center of Excellence in STEM Education, University of Texas – Pan American (UTPA)

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Cristina Villalobos to UH to hear her presentation on “Optimal Control in the Treatment of Retinitis Pigmentosa,”
and her role as the director of The Center of Excellence in STEM Education at UTPA.

Dr. Villalobos is the first speaker in the Center for ADVANCING UH Faculty Success’s new STEM in the Americas speaker series, which will bring to campus each semester a woman faculty from one of the STEM disciplines to talk about her research and ways to increase the number of women and underrepresented minorities in the science, technology, engineering, mathematics, social and behavioral sciences.

The presentation is open to the faculty, staff, and students.  There is no charge for the event.
