[CCoE Notice] Message for Engineering faculty and staff about Carnegie Community Engagement Re-Classification

The University of Houston needs your help to support our 2014 Carnegie Community Engagement Re-classification. Currently, UH is among 40 other public institutions with Carnegie Tier One and Community Engagement classifications-the only one in Texas. We want to keep this unique distinction by telling the story of our Tier One Community Engagement over the past 5 years. Yet most of the information will pertain to AY 2012-2013.



The Office of the Provost and the College of Engineering are reaching out to the following UH personnel who lead and support community engagement activities:



*        PIs and Co-PIs

*        Program Directors and Project Directors

*        Directors Community Relations and Outreach

*        Directors of Internship and Field Placement

*        Faculty & Staff



Please submit the following electronic form by Thursday, February 13th.

The form has 7 short sections and should take no longer than 15-20 minutes to complete.  Chances are that you already have abstracts, write-ups, websites, proposals, etc.  You can copy and paste this information into the form.  Once the writing team has all the community engagement data they will edit and summarize your project information for the Carnegie application.

Submit one electronic form per community engagement activity (e.g. program, project, community partnership activity, service-learning course) which occurred over the past five years.
