[CCoE Notice] Windows XP no longer supported by Microsoft after April 8th

Good afternoon,

Many of you have already been contacted by me regarding Windows XP in your areas.  For those who I may have missed, please respond to this email so I can work with you to plan for Windows XP upgrade or removal from the campus network (for security reasons).
Upgrading Windows XP computers to Windows 7 will be a wipe-and-reload operation, therefore, all data will have to be backed up prior to upgrading.  For those computers that cannot be upgraded to Windows 7 due to software and hardware reasons, they will need to be prepared for removal from the network.  In both cases, please contact me so we can work out the details before April 8th.
