[CCoE Notice] FW: Network and A/C outages

Good afternoon,

It seems the campus still suffers from partial power, networking and A/C services, and there is still no ETA on repair attempts.  This forces shared computer services in our college to be shutdown to prevent physical damage to servers providing those shared services.  To that end, most of these shared services will be shutdown at 5PM today and may be turned back on tomorrow morning or when A/C and chilled water is available again, whichever comes first.  Please save your work accordingly.
Also, please shutdown all computers and other electronic devices in your areas before leaving today, since A/C is still not yet available in our buildings.  This will help minimize the amount of heat buildup in these areas overnight.

Good morning,

As most of you already know, there's been power, A/C and chilled water outages starting yesterday and on through this morning.  This has major impacts in our college, especially shared network resources (printing, file sharing such as \\Netstore-1<file:///\\Netstore-1>, application sharing, network licensing such as Matlab and Abaqus, websites, etc.).  There's no ETA of when these services will be back up and running or stabilize, therefore, please save your work more frequently if you happen to gain access to any of the services mentioned above.  As soon as we receive word that these services have stabilized, we will inform you shortly after.
