[CCoE Notice] Request Blackboard for Spring Courses

Dear Engineering Faculty,

It is time to request your Blackboard course site for the Spring 2014 semester.  Please see instructions (below) provided by Georgette Michko, UH Blackboard Team, for requesting your Blackboard course site.  If you need help requesting your course site or uploading content, just let me know.

Please share this information with new faculty who may not yet be on engi-dist.

Blackboard Learn is the online course management system provided by the University of Houston to facilitate the efforts of instructors to make course material and activities available online to registered students.



You can request the use of Blackboard for your Spring courses as follows:



1. Go to the UH Blackboard web site at http://www.uh.edu/blackboard/



2. Click on Faculty Help



3. Select the first link, Blackboard Faculty Course Request Form.



OR, go directly to the Course Request System at https://crs.uh.edu/login/login.php.



You may need to scroll down to see the Spring sections in your list of courses.  If you have already requested the use of Blackboard for your Spring courses, you do not need to submit another request.  To get notices about the status of your requests, be sure your email filters will accept email from blackboard at uh.edu<mailto:blackboard at uh.edu>.



If your students need to have access before the official start of classes, be sure to include a note under Special Instructions or send an email to blackboard at uh.edu<mailto:blackboard at uh.edu> with the date you would like them to have access.



To add TAs or other instructors, use the link at the top of the page after you have requested a course.



For login instructions and other helpful information, see the Blackboard web site at http://www.uh.edu/blackboard.



To learn more about Blackboard and related tools, you can attend an on-campus workshop or work individually with an instructional designer.
