[CCoE Notice] Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurism Series for Engineering Faculty and Students

Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurism series for Engineering faculty and students will begin March 8.

A three-part training series on all manner of Intellectual Property (IP) and principles of entrepreneurism designed for Engineering faculty, post docs, and students will commence on March 8.  The purpose of the new series is to raise awareness and understanding about commercializing research, protecting inventions (aka The Big Idea), liability issues, financing, patents, license agreements, trade secrets, branding, marketing and more.  The training will be provided by Aaron Levine and Matt Todd, partners and co-chairs of the New Ventures & Corporate Transactions Group in locally-based law firm Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg, LLP.  Novak et al is a national IP practice with offices in Houston, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Boston, West Palm Beach and Wilmington.  Their clients span a diverse group of industries and technologies from electronic commerce, telecommunications to biotech and pharmaceuticals.

Training sessions will be presented on March 8, March 22, and April 5.
