Please see below.  This to remind all that the power is scheduled to be off on Sunday, July 14, starting at 12:00 AM.

This is in addition to the scheduled outage the evening of for the high voltage repairs earlier circulated on July 2.

Dear Building Coordinators,

This is only a precursor to the standard Campus Outage Notification process, so that you are aware and approve the outages we propose.

The reason we have to effect the outages is indirectly due to connection of the UC Transformation Project's main feed from the UH Power Plant. In order to perform the task the high-voltage specialists need to collect data from both campus switchgears currently not available. You will be minimally impacted. Per the advice and assistance of UH Electric Shop, we will shut one main switch down affecting half the campus at 10:00P, then the other at 11:00P. In most cases your service jumps over to your buildings' backup feeder after a brief interruption of one to two minutes.

Time of the events we are discussing are Sunday, July 14, in the early morning, at 12:00AM, 1:00AM, and 2:00AM (when your primary feeder is either turned off or back on, in some cases you will experience all three events).

For most of you, the outage will be brief, just a couple of minutes of a blip to your building power, at the time points identified below. You may also refer to the attached spreadsheet.

Buildings: 499, 501, 502, 516, 518, 520, 522, 524, 526, 534, 536,  550, 551, 555, 556, 557, 558, 559, 562, 564, 567, 568, 576, 579, 580, 581, 585, 586, 593, 596, will experience the disturbance at 12:00AM.

Buildings: 499, 501, 502, 503, 505, 506, 507, 508, 509, 516, 518, 520, 522, 524, 526, 528, 529,  531, 532, 533,534, 537, 538, 539, 540, 543, 544, 545, 547, 549, 550, 551, 555, 556, 557, 558, 559, 562, 564, 567, 568, 574, 575, 576, 578, 579, 580, 581, 585, 586, 587, 588, 589, 593, 596, will experience the disturbance at 1:00AM.

Buildings: 499, 503, 505, 506, 507, 508, 509, 518, 520, 522, 528, 529, 531, 532, 533, 537, 538, 539, 540, 543, 544, 545, 547, 549, 551, 567, 574, 575, 578, 585, 587, 588, 589, 593, 596, will experience the disturbance at 2:00AM of July 14.

These are exceptions to the notification above:

Buildings 528, 565, 584, 590, will experience longer durations of outage, per separate notification.

Buildings 523 AGL Building, and 563 Cougar Village 1, being single-feeder buildings, will experience longer duration of outage I hour each, as below:

*         523 power outage 12:00AM ~ 1:00AM

*         563 power outage 1:00AM ~ 2:00AM

Your understanding and cooperation will be greatly appreciated. If there is any hardship in accommodating the mostly brief outage(s) as described above, please let me know at your earliest convenience.
