[CCoE Notice] Wireless upgrade for Engineering

To: All Cullen College users of the wireless network

Information Technology has informed us that the wireless network 
infrastructure in Engineering 1, Engineering 2 and L2-D2 will be upgraded 
during this semester, beginning this week.  This will be a very major 
expansion of the current facilities, involving the installation of a 
large number of new access points:

As you can see from these numbers, this will involve a substantial amount 
of installation activity.  It will be somewhat disruptive, and we have 
been assured that to the extent possible, work will be done in off hours 
and weekends.  However, this will not always be possible.

The really good news is that at the conclusion of this project, we should 
have nearly universal wireless coverage throughout our buildings, 
including classrooms, offices and lab areas.
