[CCoE Notice] Plan to use Blackboard this Spring? PLEASE READ

Dear Engineering Faculty,
If you plan to use Blackboard this Spring 2013, please make your request thru the EERC website at http://eerc.egr.uh.edu<http://eerc.egr.uh.edu/> as you have done in the past.  Click on the Spring 2013 Blackboard Learn Course Request Form link in the center of the page.  Please complete the form and click the Submit button.  A receipt page will appear with a link to request an additional coursesite, if needed.

NEW Course Request Information:
In the next few days, you will receive an email from the "Blackboard Team" which will give a different URL for faculty to request their Blackboard Learn coursesite(s).
Please DO NOT USE THIS URL to request your SPRING 2013 BLACKBOARD COURSESITES!
Currently, UH IT does not have a way to automatically include the Engineering "template" when a Blackboard Learn coursesite is requested.  At this time, there are a minimum or 13 steps required to request a Blackboard Learn coursesite which includes the Engineering "template" - there are even more steps and a "special instructions" area required if you have a combined course or want a previous semester's content imported.

We are working with the UH Blackboard Team to streamline this process and hope to have the redesigned course request system (CRS) available for Summer 2013.
