[CCoE Notice] Y building Update

CCE Faculty and Staff:


We have a quick update on demolition of the Y Building.  A contractor has
been preliminarily selected  A  contract for legal review is now being
prepared.  Once review is complete the signature phase will start.  Once
the contract is fully executed, a pre-deconstruction meeting will be
scheduled to ensure all activities are coordinated and the schedule
finalized with all parties.  The contractor presented a 40 day duration for
Y building demolition and they anticipate starting mid June.


Thus, the Y building should be down before the start of the Fall 2012
Semester.


UH parking will notify those directly affected and arrange for alternative
parking.
