As reported by Lewis-Burke, on March 9, President Obama announced a new $1
billion proposal for a National Network for Manufacturing Innovation
(NNMI).  As follow up to this announcement, please find attached a document
that summarizes the advanced manufacturing initiatives included in the
President’s fiscal year (FY) 2013 budget request.  Funding of these
initiatives is dependent on congressional appropriations for FY 2013, but
the information provided demonstrates agency priorities and strategic
priorities in advanced manufacturing.  This document describes the breadth
of advanced manufacturing initiatives across the Administration and should
be used to assist faculty and groups thinking about advanced manufacturing
opportunities.****
