[CCoE Notice] CEE Special Seminars this week, 3/22 and 3/23

CEE will be having 4 special seminars (see attachments) this week in the Media Classroom across the hall (102-D).

There are three visiting scholars coming from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy.  They are

*         Dr. Pietro Gambarova, who will be giving a 30-minute presentation entitled "Properties of Concrete Subjected to Extreme Thermal Conditions";

*         Dr. Patrick Bamonte, who will be giving a 30-minute presentation entitled "Shotcrete Mechanical Behavior at High Temperature and Structural Effects in Fire-Damaged Tunnel Linings"; and

*         Dr. Liberato Ferrara, who will be giving a 30-minute presentation entitled "High Performance Fiber-Reinforced Cementitious Composites: From Materials to Structures".

These three seminars will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012, starting at 11:30 am.  (Cookies, soft drinks, and water will be served starting at 11:15 am)

CEE will also have another visiting scholar from the National Taiwan University, Taiwan.  His name is Dr. Shyh-Jiann Hwang, who will be giving a one hour presentation entitled "Seismic Evaluation and Retrofitting Project of RC School Buildings in Taiwan".  This seminar will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 12:00 noon. (Cookies, soft drinks, and water will be served starting at 11:30 am)
