The University of Houston is a member of the NSF-funded Center for
Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) network.
www.cirtl.net. The CIRTL network consists of 25 universities with a
shared mission of training STEM graduate students and post-docs, the future
STEM faculty, to be better instructors in order to improve undergraduate
STEM education. UH-CIRTL is partnering with the UH Center for Teaching
Excellence and will be sending more information this upcoming school year
on program offerings designed to give you a competitive edge in teaching
and research mentoring.
This Fall 2012, UH can have 1 student enroll in each of the following 2
*FREE* CIRTL courses as outlined below. Students can take the course at no
cost, and for no credit or for credit via independent study credit at their
home institution, if permitted. Because registration opens on Monday, June
25, please contact Dr. Shirley Yu ASAP at slyu at uh.edu if you are interested
in enrolling or have any questions.
Thanks,
