[CCoE Notice] New Policies Re UH Social Media Sites

Lindsay,

 

I do not maintain our student group facebook sites but I know several groups
have them.  I am the faculty advisor for one of the groups.  But, again, I
don't manage or maintain the site - the students do.  So do I need to
attend?

If you (UH employee) manage/maintain any kind of social media site (FB,
Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) on behalf of the college, department, student
organization/group, etc., please respond to this email  and let me know.

 

I'll be organizing a meeting to communicate a few UH policies surrounding
our social media sites and how first amendment rights and FERPA issues come
into play with this new media. This is very, very important.
