[CCoE Notice] Access to College Linux accounts fully restored after Emergency Update to College SAN

Good Morning,

The upgrade to the College SAN uncovered a previously unknown problem with a server used to store a
significant portion of faculty and staff accounts.  This issue prevented login to any ECC Linux or
Unix system for the affected accounts.

The repairs to that server's filesystem just completed this morning and the server has been placed
back online.  This problem also affected the ability to send and receive email through the College
mail server.

As of 10:30 am today, full access should be restored to user home directories stored on Hydra2. 
Normal login should be possible on all ECC Linux and Unix systems.  Anyone still having login issues
should report that fact along with the machine name and user name on which the access is failing.
