To All Engineering Faculty Teaching Fall 2012 Courses:
If you would like to use Blackboard Learn for your Fall 2012 course(s), please submit your request through the EERC website http://eerc.egr.uh.edu<http://eerc.egr.uh.edu/>.  Click on the Summer/Fall 2012 Blackboard Learn Course Request Form link in the center of the page.
Please complete the form and click the Submit button when you're finished.  A receipt page will appear with a link to request an additional coursesite, if needed.
Updated Timeline:  The latest service pack - SP8 - is scheduled to be installed on Blackboard Learn on May 18th.  Since SP8 has many enhancements to the format and navigation of BbLearn, your Fall coursesite(s) will be created after this installation and should be available to you the week of May 21st.
Training for the new system will be offered in a number of formats - scheduled workshops, online video tutorials, step-by-step printed instructions, and Anisa and I will be available for one-on-one training in the EERC lab or your UH office.  Training workshops as well as one-on-one training will also be available for TAs, and we hope you will make sure your TA attends training.  While Blackboard Learn is very similar to Engineering's Blackboard, the Control Panel is organized differently, and there are several new features.
Special Note:  In the next few days, you will receive an email from blackboard at uh.edu<mailto:blackboard at uh.edu> - the "Blackboard Team" - about how to request a Blackboard Vista coursesite.  Please be aware that Blackboard Vista is a completely separate system (and very different) from the Blackboard Learn system that Engineering will be using.
