Dear Faculty and Staff,

It is with great sadness that I have to inform of the sudden and untimely passing away of Professor David Zimmerman.

He was good friend, colleague and a personal mentor to me and, I believe, many of you.

I just found about this unfortunate news a short while ago after landing in San Francisco. I am planning to cut my trip short and return as soon as possible—hopefully as early as tomorrow. Meanwhile, please do not hesitate to call me on my cell phone number at any time: 281-723-4649.
