[CCoE Notice] ABET Update

Cullen College Faculty and Staff:

 

I am happy to report that we had a successful ABET visit last week. There
were a few minor issues cited by the visitors that we will be addressing as
we move forward, but we continue to be fully accredited by the Engineering
Accreditation Commission of ABET in all six programs up for review
(chemical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial and mechanical).

 

Join me in thanking Dr. Dave Shattuck for his Herculean efforts to
coordinate the review of our accredited undergraduate programs. Also, thank
you to the department chairs and all the department coordinators for working
diligently to prepare for the site visit. These coordinators include: Mike
Nikolaou and Demetre Economou (ChE), Bill Rixey, Reagan Herman and Osman
Ghazzaly (CIVE), Len Trombetta (ECE), Chris Chung (IE) and Rich Bannerot
(ME). I'd also like to thank Ting Chen and John Glover, the biomedical
engineering program coordinators, for their assistance during this process.
