[CCoE Notice] Volunteering at the Houston Food Bank

Fellow Engineering Faculty and Students,
As many of you know we are hosting a volunteer event on Friday November 11th from 6pm-9pm with the Houston Food Bank. These hours can count for volunteer hours if you are mandated to acquire any for another organization. We will also be doing a raffle for everyone who comes!!! Events like this one are important to IEEE because it reflects well on us to the University which is why we are so well liked and well known around campus. To sign up you should register online at vss.houstonfoodbank.org<http://vss.houstonfoodbank.org/> no later than November 9th.... that's TODAY. When you sign up please put in this group code 111111ieeP2pm. The address is 535 Portwall, Houston TX. 77029 so if you would like to drive yourself feel free to meet us up there; otherwise we will be meeting at the Engineering Building to carpool no later than 5:15.

1.When you signup—you will receive a Volunteer Boarding Pass—print this out and bring it with you.
2.ALL adult volunteers MUST register online prior to their volunteer date. Please follow the attached instructions.
3.All minor volunteers (17 and younger) must complete and bring a volunteer waiver.
4.Dress Code: For safety reasons- please wear Jeans/pants, shirt with sleeves and closed toe shoes.
