[CCoE Notice] Elizabeth D. Rockwell

University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering

 

Dear Cullen College Faculty and Staff,

It is with great sadness that I let you know about the passing of Elizabeth
D. Rockwell this morning. A UH alumna and major supporter of the university
and our college, she was a friend and colleague to many individuals
throughout the city of Houston and the UH community.

Her contributions to the university were many. She supported our college
through the establishment of an endowed chair for the dean and a special
lecture series was created and named in her honor. She also served as a
member of our leadership board for years and held a position as an executive
professor. She was a true friend of the college and a very loving and caring
individual.

A memorial service will be scheduled for the university community and I'll
let you know when we receive the details.
